Wow, I have forgotten about NewGrounds. To think I've had this account for nearly half my life now...

Anyway, I've graduated from Penn State and gotten a job as a Software Developer. It will feel weird to go through and look at this time capsule of my high school and middleschool self.

Alright, I've been busy. Now I'm busier, but for some reason, it made me think of Newgrounds. Hey, whatever works, right?

Anywho.

I've a job. And school.

First Semester: French III, Honors Physics of Mechanics, AP Calculus, and AP European History
Second Semester: Honors French IV, Honors English Composition, AP Calculus, and AP European History

Well, it's my birthday today, I'm now seventeen years old.

I'm also sick, tired and all of that good stuff. I am relieved to have the school day end early, which was quite nice, so now I have a bit more time to relax. It's always a nice thing to have.

I don't have anything to say, really... How was your day/week/etc?

EDIT: Oh yea.

Today... Someone accidently hit me with a chair in the ribs during lunch (carrying it), the Java compiler I was using to program almost ate one of my programs (I almost lost my work), I had a terrible headache, people seemed more inconsiderate than normal, and I feel like I have to pee a lot. Wonderful.

Happy New Year, people. I'll get my resolutions from my old news post up in a short bit.

EDIT: Also, leveled up. Hooray.

Happy Holidays, foo's.

I'll post a list of what I recieved sometime relatively soon.

EDIT: Here.

A Ray Lewis Jersey
Madden 2008 (PS2)
A nice shirt and jeans
a Wolf blanket
300 (DVD)
boxers
undershirts
one of those three pack axe things
a decorative football from my little sister
a Wolf tree ornament (it's a family tradition, hehe)
a $30 mall-wide gift card from my brother (as well as at least one month of World of WarCraft time) candy
A CD
A winning lottery ticket (five dollars)
and about 435 dollars from various people in my large extended family

In actuality, it was a lot of smaller stuff this year, but smaller stuff I really liked. I couldn't think of much, but my family found some pretty neat stuff for me, and I'm definitely pleased. The blanket is really comfortable, and wolves are awesome.

I'll have to check on the monetary amount later.

Well, I found out recently that my back has finally healed. The unfortunate part of the news -- since there is usually one -- is that I have to wear the brace for three more weeks, taking it off for a bit more time every day. This is so that my back muscles are once more used to working alone.

Let's see... Resolutions. I should make them. Here's my attempt:

One: I am going to finish healing, and attempt to improve my strength and speed as much as possible. It's difficult to set a goal at this point.

Two: I am going to keep working hard with football, and I will get more playtime without getting injured so early on.

Three: I am going to maintain my grades and get a job.

Four: I want to return to learning flash, and I hope I will be able to submit a flash to the portal.

Well, that's that.

Now here are some of my plans, not necessarily what I'd call resolutions, though.

I want to start drawing again, and perhaps later work on coloring my works on the computer. We'll see how this turns out.

I also wish to continue writing, and hopefully improve my skills. I'm okay at character development and such, I believe, but I am terrible with coming up with names. In addition, at times I am unable to think of a decent or even coherent story line. I'd still call myself okay or even a bit better in terms of my abilities, but I'd like to fix the areas where I'm weak.

Anyone have any suggestions or crap like that? Feel free to mention some of your resolutions or soemthing -- I won't mind if you do.

I'm all up in this Frankenstein paper that's due tomorrow. It's gonna be big.

Done, with just a few hours to spare. Only 12 pages.

Well, 20 if you count the outline and title page, which I have to include as one package when I hand it in. Also, the bunch of note cards I have to hand in.

Ah, yes.

It's that time when you get to see the family you haven't seen in awhile, and insult your older cousin (if he comes) because you are now most probably taller than him. Also, there's the good food, the time off school and work... The football games, and much more.

Gobble, gobble, bitch.

EDIT:

Probably my favorite quarterback and player... Brett Favre. I really hope he plays again next year. Man, beast, or touch down machine?

No, the Packers are not my favorite team.

Well, I haven't made a news post in awhile... Or many at all.

I have my big ol' backbrace now, and I can thank football (American) for that. Not that I'm really complaining- I love the game, and the back brace is just very uncomfortable and a very big inconvenience. I'm supposed to wear it until my back heals... However long that is. Considering the orthopedic doctor said that I couldn't play winter sports and may not be able to do at least some spring sports (or at least not for the whole season) I'm guessing it'll be awhile until I don't have to wear this thing.

Speaking of my injury, it's spondylolysis in my L5 vertebra, that is, a stress fracture. It's present in both of the ridges on the vertebra, I think, from what they saw on the bone scan results. Also, before anyone (as if they'd come to my userpage... Hurck) says anything... A stress fracture does not equal a broken back, severed spine, or paralysis. It just means that if it isn't healed, I'll have chronic back pain, and a chance to get some pretty painful and crippling conditions.

Now, on a lighter note...

I can thank TwilightFox for making a post about the Fox and the Hound. I had a short discussion with him... Frankly, it was one of my favorite movies when I was younger, and his news post made me dig it out and watch it. Check out the post I'm speaking of here: http://twilightfox.newgrounds.com/news /post/43566
